We were able to complete this feeding center in Miraflores in the department of San Vicente with the MAPS team from Central Assembly of God in Cumberland Maryland.

 

 

 

 

Miraflores Feeding Center

This is the outside of the feeding center.  It is two stories and was built and finished just in time for ministry to the people displaced by the recent flooding in El Salvador.

One by One

We met Gonzalo (right) in 2000 before we were missionaries in El Salvador.  Gonzalo worked for Kings Castle but wasn't a christian.  We arrived as missionaries in 2001 and worked on earthquake reconstruction with Gonzalo.  The testimonies of our lives and the demonstration of love from the numerous MAPS teams that came to help build were the deciding factor in Gonzalo's decision to accept Christ as his savior.  Gonzalo was radically saved.  Just before leaving El Salvador we were able to see the fruits of investing in Gonzalo's life as he and Chris were able to lead another worker, Julio to the Lord.  That is how the Gospel is spread one person at a time. 

 

Preaching in Spanish

We went to El Salvador as construction missionary associates.  Chris was in charge of the construction for Kings Castle and worked on earthquake reconstruction of the National churches.  The life of a missionary is very diverse and we began to become more and more involved in ministry.  We hosted evangelism teams in Nicaragua and became Assistant Zone Pastors.  Chris was able to preach to the Central Church in Spanish this last August.

 

Farewell

As we finished our assignment as Missionary Associates in El Salvador we had to say goodbye.  After you have invested so much into a people it is hard to say goodbye.  We were presented with a plaque of gratitude from the ministry of Kings Castle and the fellowship of El Salvador Missionaries.

 

 

El Carmen 

In September 2009 along with the MAPS team from Glad Tidings Church in Montgomery Alabama we built a church in El Carmen, El Salvador.  On dedication Sunday there were more than 400 people in attendance.  What a privilege it was to see the move of God in the community.

 

 

Mission's Convention in Poland Ohio

We had the blessing of attending the mission's convention of New Life Church in Poland Ohio.  God is moving powerfully in this church where the people pledged more for missions this fall than ever before.  God's blessings are undoubtably on this church.
