So you might say "who are the Bowser's anyway?" We are just a regular family from Columbus Ohio, who God called to serve him full time in missions. Chris and Debbie were just regular people who worked jobs, raised their kids, Elisha, Tiffany and Andrew, and worked faithfully in their home church.
In 1999 after a short term missions trip to El Salvador God called us to work with Kings Castle Ministries in El Salvador. God took the skills of a construction supervisor and his family to be used in ministry in El Salvador. In 2000 we were approved as missionary associates through the Assemblies of God to work as construction supervisor for the daily growing ministry of Kings Castle Ministries. Little did we know that God had already set into motion His plan for what was about to happen in El Salvador. On January 13 and February 13, 2001 El Salvador suffered 2 major earthquakes that devastated 140 Assembly of God churches in the tiny country. Within 6 weeks of those devastating earthquakes we arrived to start the tremendous reconstruction project that lay ahead.
We worked with Kings Castle Ministries and our senior missionary Don & Terri Triplett and many MAPS teams from the United States to rebuild more than 50 of the churches in a 2 year period. We also worked on many other building projects in Castle Ministries and taught the Last Harvest Master's Commission students construction skills. Whenever possible we would lead the MAPS teams along with the Salvadorans in ministry in the communities where we would build.
We have had the opportunity of working in Nicaragua each summer with thousands receiving Christ. God has opened many opportunities to minister to the people and we are priviliged to be a part of it.
Now God has called us to take what we have learned in El Salvador to Peru to reach those in Peru who don't know Christ as their savior. We have just begun speaking in churches to raise the support that we will need to do what God has called us to do; church planting, evangelism, discipleship and childrens ministry.
We hope to arrive in Peru in early 2011.
